Digital Business Services (DBS) is a business-focused digitalization organization within METTLER TOLEDO. Our mission is to create business value, support productivity and growth, and provide an exceptional customer experience through our digital solutions. DBS responsibility covers a wide range of topics from application, infrastructure, data, reporting as well as project management, such as M365 implementations and infrastructure upgrades.

For DBS’ Global Digital Talent Graduate Program, we are looking for diverse, open-minded, and results-oriented talent, who are passionate to provide exceptional digital solutions.
How The Program Works
The Global Digital Talent Graduate Program is an 18-month rotational program that provides you with broad exposure to our Digital Business Services (DBS) organization and various Business Units within METTLER TOLEDO. Your responsibilities will be impactful: You will gain a holistic overview of the business and will be coached by our local and global leaders.

Throughout the journey, you will be able to expand your knowledge and your network within METTLER TOLEDO. In addition, through exposure to various key strategic initiatives, you will be able to enhance your business understanding while sharpening your skills to provide digital solutions.
What You Need to Succeed
  • A Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree in some regions) from one of various disciplines.
  • Initial internship experiences including student activities.
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented mindset with a “Can-Do” attitude, and a strong interest in technology and digital solutions.
  • Openness to change and learning agility to adapt.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to work in at least one of the DBS locations: China, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, or the USA.
Program Journey
As a selected participant, you will complete six three-month assignments: four within Digital Business Services (DBS), two in other areas such as Sales and Marketing. One of these six assignments will also be an international assignment for you. This will allow you to work on strategic global projects with colleagues, learn from one another, and build an international network within METTLER TOLEDO. The topics of assignments are selected based on your interests, skills, and the needs of the Company. The desired outcome is your own growth and a positive business impact.

Throughout your journey, you will be assigned a mentor from another geographic region, who will provide you with any necessary support. Knowledge sharing and collaboration with various Business Units give you the chance to immerse yourself in our “One Team” culture, which is core to who we are.

Local Process

Your first point of contact will be our Talent Acquisition team. After this, you will be interviewed by the leadership team of the hiring Unit.

Assessment

We conduct an online assessment of our candidates. You will benefit from a personalized review with a specialized consultant.

International Validation

The final step of our selection process concludes in an interview with regional leadership.

    Trainee Global Digital Talent Graduate Program 2021–2023, Switzerland
    I joined METTLER TOLEDO in the Global Digital Talent Program about a year ago. I am currently rotating through various assignments of three-month duration in Digital Business Services and other Business Units. Throughout my personal journey, I have had the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects combining business and technology. During this time, I could apply my knowledge and acquire new skills, all this while discovering different functions within the context of digitalization. I like the fact that METTLER TOLEDO offers a truly international, open, and collaborative work environment, encouraging personal development and valuing individual contributions, in order to create excellent products.

    I joined METTLER TOLEDO 14 months ago in China as a digital trainee. This is my first full-time job after graduation.     After being in METTLER TOLEDO’s Global Digital Talent Program for a little over one year, I have gained countless experiences from technical to social aspects. In this program, I have had the chance to rotate within the Digital Business Services teams, which are unique in their own right, since different departments work on different projects for the business. This program offers exposure to both the business side and the technical (IT) side of the Company, which is crucial and important as an employee. The program provides all the skills needed to digitalize a company. Being my first job after graduating, I learned to manage multiple projects at the same time, being a successful multitasker, and gaining experience in the AI and Software Engineering fields. Soft skills such as communication with colleagues, teamwork, and socializing are top skills that I have gained here. At METTLER TOLEDO, I really appreciate how you can connect with anyone in the Company around the world; people are friendly and helpful. Since the Company is always growing, there are ample projects in almost every field of the business, especially in Digital Business Services.

    I joined METTLER TOLEDO about 1 year ago as Trainee in the Global Digital Talent Graduate Program located in Warsaw while I was still studying Management at university. The program gave me a chance to explore five different departments in Poland and one internationally.
